This canariensis was growing very close to a wall. The tree was causing the wall to lift. Since the wall had historic value, the property owner wanted the tree removed. Southwest Tree Co. purchased the tree and removed it on 4/19/02 without harming the wall or the tree. The tree went to a community in San Clemente along with 7 other trees just like it.
